2.     Double-click on EprimeS.ppt

3.     Then click on the slideshow button to start the slide show. It is icon on the far right in the bottom left of the window.

4.     Go all the way through the slide show.

5.     For the part about E-Studio, answer the following questions:

  1. What is in the toolbox?

            Objects that are dragged to procedural timelines. The objects are used to design

  the steps in the experiment                                                                                          

  1. What is a textdisplay object?

            A textdisplay object allows the experimenter to display text to the subjects in

            an experiment.                                                                                                

  1. What is a procedure object?

            A procedure object represents a sequence of steps in an experiment. 

  1. What is a feedback object?

            A feedback object is used to specify the feedback information that a 

            subject will receive when they make a response.                                             


  1. What is in the properties window?

            The properties window contains all the properties for a selected object          

            and their current settings.                                                                               

  1. How do you open an object in the workspace window?

            Double-click on the object in a procedural timeline or in the structure view   

  1. How do you add an object to a procedure timeline?

            Open the target procedure in the workspace and then drag objects from the  

            toolbox to the procedure's timeline.                                                                

  1. What information is in a list object?

            A list object can have information about what procedure to run for a trial,      

            the levels of the IV, actual stimuli for the trials, and the correct answers.        

  1. What is the main function of E-studio?

            Design a runnable experiment using a simple graphical interface                   


6.     For the part about E-Basic and E-Run, answer the following questions:

  1. How do you compile and run an experiment?

            Click on the E-Run button on the E-Studio toolbar.                                       

  1. In the example experiment, what happens after fixation?

            The stimulus is presented.                                                                              

  1. What information is in the feedback screen?

            Whether the response is correct or not and the response times.                     

7.     For the part about E-Merge and E-DataAid, answer the following questions

1.     What is the main function of E-Merge?

            Combine individual data files into one file                                                      

2.     What is the main function of a filter in E-DataAid?

            It allows you to work with only the data that meet specific criteria.
