E-Studio tutorial worksheet
Please work in pairs, and hand in just one worksheet.
Names: __________________________ and _______________________________
A.
Get out the "E-studio getting started" guidebook that you
copied from the library.
B.
Create your first experiment in E-studio by following all the
steps in the guidebook.
When you
are done, answer the following questions:
- What items in the toolbox did you use while
creating this experiment?
- What are three ways in which you use the textdisplay
object?
- What are three ways in which you used the
list object?
- How is the ordering of steps in a procedure
object specified?
- What happens when you name a procedure in
a list object but haven't created that procedure yet?
- Is the target object part of the session,
block, or trial level?
- How many trials are there in the experiment
that you just created?
- How many different conditions (combinations
of levels that were manipulated across trials) were there in the experiment
you just created, and what were they?
- Suppose you wanted to have 2 fixations (one
before the prime and one after the prime). How would you add the second
fixation to the experiment?
- Suppose you wanted to have a subject go through
all the conditions in a fixed order (rather than a random order). How would
you make that change?
- What information was given as feedback to
each trial?
- Why do you need to generate a script before
running the program?
