Running the Stroop Experiment

1.     Double-click on "runnable Stroop". Run the program.

2.     Use your computer number for the subject number. Use the last digit of your lab section number as the session number (201 -> 1, 202 -> 2, etc).

3.     Run the experiment all the way to the end.

4.     Tell your instructor when you are done. Your instructor will need to put your data file on a disk. Your instructor will then copy all the student data files onto your machine.

5.     Once you have all the data files on your machine, open E-Merge. Merge all the data files and save it under the name "Stroop Data.name", where name is your name. Close E-Merge.

6.     Start E-DataAid. Get subject means per condition for the reaction time measure. Use only correct trials.

7.     Export the resulting table of means to Statview (call it "Stroop means"). Close E-DataAid.

8.     Start Statview. Open your table of means.

9.     Prepare you data for analysis and then do a repeated measures ANOVA on the condition mean RTs.

10.  Create a table of means for this analysis and a bar graph.

11.  Do a Bonferroni/Dunn Posthoc test to see which conditions are significantly different from one another.
